Gang Wang

Gang Wang, Ph.D., currently serves as Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Manas AI since October 2025. Prior to this, Gang Wang held various positions at Schrödinger from May 2021 to October 2025, including Principal Scientist II and Principal Scientist I. Experience also includes roles at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Scientist and Scientist II from October 2018 to May 2021, and at REVOLUTION Medicines as Scientist II and Scientist I from September 2017 to October 2018. Earlier in the academic career, Gang Wang was a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2013 to July 2017, where supervision of undergraduate and graduate students was accompanied by significant research on carbonyl addition methods and total synthesis projects. Gang Wang earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS and MS in Pharmaceutical Science from Peking University.
