Robert Wilkins

Robert Wilkins has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the Regional Director of Field Services at Cogent Communications since May 2005. In this role, Robert manages network deployments and day-to-day operations within the region. Previously, as the Area Director of Field Services, Robert oversaw the expansion of Cogent's fiber optic network in Canada and Western New York, successfully project managing the construction of metro fiber rings and in-building systems. Earlier positions include Project Engineering Manager, Field Engineer at Shared Technologies of Canada, and Network Operations Center Engineer at Williams Communications Solutions. Robert holds a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology with a focus on Telecommunications from Sir Sandford Fleming College, earned between 1995 and 1998.
