Ben Meissner has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Ben is currently the Vice President of Operations at Cogentrix Energy, LLC. Prior to this role, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at 7F Users Group Inc., where they influenced industry focus and managed the organization's website and forum interface. Ben also worked at Duke Energy Corporation, where they held various positions such as General Manager of Turbine & Generator Services, Director of Turbine and Generator Services, Director of Turbine and Generator Engineering and Programs, and Manager of Programs. At Duke Energy, they were responsible for ensuring the reliability of major rotating equipment and leading engineering services and maintenance strategies. Before joining Duke Energy, Ben worked as a Combustion Turbine Engineer at PSEG and as an Industrial Gas Turbine Repair & Development Engineer and Supplier Process and Quality Improvement Leader at Pratt & Whitney. In these roles, they focused on turbine repairs, quality control, and process improvement initiatives.
Ben Meissner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Alfred University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Later on, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, which they completed between 2011 and 2013.
