Alkis Papadopoullos

Alkis Papadopoullos, the Chief Science Officer (CSO) and interim CEO at Coginov since January 2022, has over 30 years of experience in machine learning, knowledge representation structures, and software development. Prior to Coginov, Alkis founded Semeon Analytics Inc., where he specialized in providing customers with in-depth text analytics based on semantic and sentiment analysis. As the Founder and CTO, Alkis was responsible for leading the software engineering team. Before Semeon, Alkis served as the Chief Technology Officer at Voxco Survey Software, where he oversaw the development of the Acuity4 platform combining quantitative survey data analysis with qualitative web content analysis. Additionally, Alkis has experience as the Chief Operations Officer at HotGrinds, Inc., leading the development of a social media monitoring platform. During his time at Convera, Alkis held the position of Vice President, Semantic Technologies, overseeing the development of the Excalibur web-scale semantic search engine. Alkis' background includes a Master of Science in Physics from Université du Québec - Institut national de la recherche scientifique and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Université de Montréal.
