Sean Dorfman

Sean Dorfman has over 30 years of professional experience in human resources. Sean currently serves as the Senior Regional HR Director - Americas at Cognex Corporation, where they are responsible for HR business partner leadership and talent management programs. Prior to this role, Sean held various positions at IGT, including Vice President of Human Resources, Senior Director of Human Resources, and Director of Human Resources. Sean also worked at EMC as a Senior Human Resources Manager and at Gillette as a Human Resources Manager. Sean began their career in the US Army, where they served as an Operations Officer, Company Commander, and Executive Officer.

Sean Dorfman holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Sean also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Southern New Hampshire University. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coach Federation in 2016, LEA360 (Leadership Effectiveness Analysis) from Management Research Group in 2015, Hogan Assessment - Level 1 from Hogan Assessment Systems in 2015, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2006, Certified Compensation Professional from WorldatWork in 2005, and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt Training from Air Academy Associates (year unspecified).
