Mats Jonsson

Mats Jonsson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Mats began their career at ABB in 1994 as a Project Manager, where they worked until 1998. During their time at ABB Robotics, from 1998 to 2005, Mats held various positions, including Technical Manager for Special Purpose Robots and Global Application Manager for Spotwelding. Mats played a crucial role in transforming ABB Robotics into a leading supplier of spotwelding equipment.

In 2005, Mats joined Hedson Technologies as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Mats was responsible for managing the supply of existing and new products across different R&D and production units. Mats stayed with Hedson Technologies until 2016.

From 2016 to 2020, Mats worked at Hiab as the Senior Product Portfolio Manager and R&D Director. Mats'sresponsibilities included coordinating the product portfolio, rationalization, and increasing engineering efficiency using modularity.

Currently, Mats Jonsson is the Business Unit Manager at Cognibotics AB, a company focused on improving the accuracy and programming ease of robots. Mats' role involves utilizing intelligent algorithms and advanced models to drive the widespread use of robots.

Throughout their career, Mats has demonstrated expertise in product management, engineering efficiency, and strategic planning.

Mats Jonsson completed their education between 1988 and 1992 at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
