Amy Wood

Amy Wood is an experienced geography educator currently serving as a Teacher of Geography at Cognita Schools since August 2025. Previously, Amy held a similar position at GEMS Education, where responsibilities included serving as Assistant Head of Year 12 from August 2023 to September 2025. Prior teaching experience includes a role at Leicester City Council from August 2020 to August 2023 and a PGCE scholarship at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) from July 2019 to August 2020. Amy's career began at Pareto Law as a Consultant, focusing on sales development, followed by a role as Expedition Group Leader with Think Pacific. Amy holds a PGCE Secondary Geography from the University of Nottingham and a BA in Geography from the University of Leicester.
