Jo Russell

Jo Russell has extensive experience in education, starting as a Teacher at Southampton City Council in 2006. They then transitioned to Hampshire County Council in 2012 before returning to Southampton City Council in 2016 as Head of Department. Jo later joined Oasis Community Learning in 2018 as the Head of Department. Currently, they hold the position of Teacher of Computer Science at Cognita Schools since 2021 and also serve as the Head of Computer Science and Careers Lead.

Jo Russell holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computing Informatics from the University of Plymouth, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Information Technology from the University of Southampton, and a Master of Arts in Education (Equality and Diversity) from The Open University. Jo also has various additional certifications in education, technology, and assessment from institutions such as Adobe, Microsoft, and the National Centre for Computing Education.
