Deep Singh

Deep Singh has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Deep is currently working at Cognite as a Senior Software Engineer, where they started in July 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Software Engineer II at Cognite from July 2021 to July 2023. Deep also gained experience as a Junior Software Engineer at Cognite from September 2020 to June 2021.

Before joining Cognite, Deep Singh co-founded DataSentral AS in 2015. At DataSentral AS, they started as a Co-Founder and was involved in providing computer assistance to non-technical individuals. The company later transitioned into website development for small to medium-sized businesses.

In 2017, Deep Singh had a summer internship and part-time job at Telenor, where they developed a chatbot application for Telenor Pakistan customers. Deep integrated the chatbot with a Telenor Digital service to allow customers to check their phone balance and data balance within the Facebook Messenger app. This application had approximately 300 daily users.

During their time at the University of Oslo, Deep Singh worked as an Examinator for Functional Programming, teaching students about functional programming and developing code in the programming language Scheme. Deep also served as a Corrector for Problem Solving with High-Level Language, where they guided students in gaining knowledge of Git, Bash, Python, and web frameworks.

Deep Singh also had a summer internship at Intermed AS in 2016. During this internship, they gained experience in both frontend and backend development and learned technologies such as NodeJS, WebRTC, and Socket.

Overall, Deep Singh has a strong background in software engineering, website development, and teaching programming concepts.

Deep Singh completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2017, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Informatics, specializing in Programming and Networks, also from the University of Oslo (UiO).
