Johan Hatleskog has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Johan started their career in 2008 as a Bank Clerk at Sparebanken Vest. In 2008, they also worked as a Civilian worker at Helse Bergen, where they were responsible for maintaining a database of the hospital's medical equipment.

In 2009, Johan joined Beerenberg Corp. AS as a Part-time HR Assistant. Later, they became a Project team member and then an HR Analytics specialist, working in this role from 2010 to 2017.

In 2015, Johan co-founded Ascend NTNU, where they served as the first Project Manager. In this role, they oversaw both the administrative and technical aspects of the project, contributing to the advancement of aerial robotics technology.

Johan Hatleskog's education history begins in 2010 at the University of Bergen (UiB), where they studied Economics. In 2011, they transferred to the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration between 2011 and 2013. Following this, Johan pursued a Master's Degree in Engineering Cybernetics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), which they earned from 2013 to 2018. During their master's studies, they also undertook a visiting student program at CentraleSupélec in 2017-2018, focusing on Control Engineering. Additionally, Johan participated in an exchange semester at ETH Zürich, where they took courses from the master's program in Robotics, Systems, and Control between 2016 and 2017.
