Julie Devi Coats

Julie Devi Coats is an accomplished project manager and creative lead with extensive experience in medical illustration and visual communication within the healthcare sector. As the Project Manager of Science Storytelling at Cognition Studio Inc since February 2021, Julie focuses on strategic visual communication for life sciences and healthcare. Julie is also the founder and creative lead of Coats Medical Media, established in June 2012, specializing in visuals for medical and scientific professionals with an emphasis on global health. Previously, Julie served as a medical illustrator at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and Northwell Health, leading illustration projects, managing status communications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Additional roles include medical illustrator and animator at High Impact, Inc., along with earlier experiences as a laboratory manager and research assistant. Julie's educational background includes a Master of Science in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology Research from The College of New Jersey.
