Kerry Ogata

Kerry Ogata has over 20 years of experience in corporate communications and public relations. Kerry currently serves as the Head of Corporate Communications for Next Insurance. Prior to this role, they were a Public Relations & Strategy Consultant for Illume Public Relations, a Head of Public Relations & Corporate Communications Consultant for Cognitiv, Senior Director Corporate Communications & Public Relations for Vidyo, a Media Strategist for The OutCast Agency, and a Producer for CNN. At CNN, they identified innovative story ideas on the economy, healthcare, humanitarian crisis situations, and national politics and worked and managed content for news talent such as Wolf Blitzer, John King, Anderson Cooper, Campbell Brown, Erica Hill, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Ali Velshi, and John Roberts. At The OutCast Agency, they planned, strategized, and implemented publicity campaigns and initiatives for high-profile tech and Venture Capital clients. At Cognitiv, they developed an annual marketing and communications plan that integrated thought leadership, press announcements, earned media, analyst relations, strategic events, sponsorships, and lead generating marketing activities. At Illume Public Relations, they pitched and secured new business including tech and consumer clients and developed new PR & marketing strategies that created differentiated brand and market awareness.
