Ram Deepak Gottapu

Ram Deepak Gottapu has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning and data analytics. Ram Deepak currently works as a Senior Machine Learning Research Scientist at Cognitiv. Prior to this, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2015-2020, where they developed automation techniques to generate optimized deep learning architectures for computer vision and NLP applications. Ram Deepak also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for 'Deep Learning' and 'Neural Networks and Applications' courses, where they were responsible for creating course work and programming assignments, teaching students how to use Python, Tensorflow, and Matlab, and guiding students in their deep learning project implementations. From 2010-2015, they worked at Infosys as a Senior Systems Engineer and Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for performing SQL query optimization, creating backend tables and aggregates for iTunes reporting and analysis, leading offshore data teams on end to end data analytics projects, and serving as a database administrator.

Ram Deepak Gottapu received their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Andhra University in 2010. Ram Deepak then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Neural Networks, and Data Mining from Missouri University of Science and Technology, which they completed in 2015. Ram Deepak then continued their studies at Missouri University of Science and Technology and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Systems Engineering in 2019. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
