Machine Learning Research Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies

Rhydian Windsor is a Machine Learning Research Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since June 2023, and previously served as a DPhil candidate in the Visual Geometry Group at the University of Oxford from October 2018 to November 2023, under the supervision of Professor Andrew Zisserman and Dr. Timor Kadir. Prior to this, Rhydian worked as a Machine Learning Consultant at Plexalis from September 2020 to June 2023, focusing on the automatic detection and segmentation of ankylosing spondylitis in clinical MRI scans. Rhydian also contributed to the JBCA Machine Learning Club as a member of the Organising Committee from September 2018 to July 2019, where responsibilities included organizing talks and events for PhD students. Additionally, Rhydian interned at Axillium Research in July 2017, conducting a pilot study on footfall mapping using machine learning image recognition techniques. Rhydian holds a DPhil in Computer Vision from the University of Oxford and an MPhys in Physics from The University of Manchester.
