Alyssa Boasso

Senior Director of Program Management at Cognito Therapeutics

Alyssa Boasso has an extensive work experience in the field of research and program management. Alyssa started their career as a Project Director at GfK Custom Research North America in 2005. Alyssa then worked as a Research Contractor at Market Dynamics Research Group, Inc. from 2009 to 2010. Alyssa joined Tulane University, School of Science and Engineering in 2007 as a Graduate Researcher and Instructor, where they conducted independent research programs and taught various courses in psychology, statistics, and research methods. Alyssa also served as a Research Assistant at Tulane University from 2009 to 2011.

In 2012, Alyssa joined VA Boston Healthcare System as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Their responsibilities included creating and analyzing a large database for an epidemiological study on posttraumatic psychopathology in U.S. Marines. Alyssa also mentored research technicians and contributed to the development of prevention and intervention strategies for psychological trauma.

Alyssa then joined Thync in 2014 as a Staff Scientist, and later became a Principal Research Scientist in 2015. Alyssa conducted research and played a key role in the development of innovative products. In 2016, they joined APEX NEURO as the Director of Research, where they oversaw the research activities of the organization.

Since 2017, Alyssa has been working at Cognito Therapeutics, Inc. Initially, they served as the Director of Translational Research and later progressed to the position of Senior Director of Program Management. Their role involved leading and managing various programs and projects within the organization.

Throughout their career, Alyssa has demonstrated strong leadership skills, research expertise, and a commitment to advancing scientific knowledge in the field.

Alyssa Boasso obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Communication from Villanova University. Alyssa then pursued further education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychological Science at Tulane University from 2007 to 2012.
