Ralph Kern has an extensive work experience history. Ralph is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Cognito Therapeutics, Inc. since March 2023. Ralph started their career as the Chief Division of Neurology at Credit Valley Hospital, where they provided leadership and conducted clinical trials for various neurological conditions from 1988 to 2000.

Ralph Kern's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurophysiology, which they obtained from McGill University from 1976 to 1978. Ralph then pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree at Queen's University from 1978 to 1982. Following this, they completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Toronto from 1982 to 1984. Ralph went on to join the Neurology Residency Program at McGill University from 1984 to 1987. During the period of 1987 to 1988, they were a Research Fellow in Neuroscience at the Hospital for Sick Children, affiliated with the University of Toronto. Lastly, Ralph obtained a Master of Health Administration degree from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto from 2001 to 2003.
