Beni Gradwohl, Ph.D.

Beni Gradwohl, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Beni is the Co-Founder and CEO of Cognovi Labs, where they use Emotion AI to predict human behavior and shape outcomes. Beni is also the Founder of Finlytix, Inc. Additionally, Beni served as a Board Member on the NY Advisory Council of Israel Venture Network (IVN), a venture philanthropy organization that supports social businesses. Before that, they founded BIGfreedom/Business Innovation Group and HomeSimple LLC.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Beni worked at Citi as a Managing Director and Executive Vice President, leading the stabilization and growth of Citi's residential mortgage business during the financial crisis. Beni also held roles in asset-liability management and served on the board of CitiMortgage Inc. In addition, Beni has teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School.

Earlier in their career, Beni worked at Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director in the Institutional Securities division. Beni developed proprietary trading strategies and fundamental indexes for institutional clients and implemented enhanced intrinsic company valuation methodologies.

Beni's early career involved research in astrophysics, cosmology, particle physics, and magnetic resonance at universities and research laboratories. Beni also performed technological and financial feasibility studies in a high-tech firm focused on solar energy conversion. Beni has written numerous academic papers, lectured at universities and conferences, and acted as a referee for scientific journals.

Beni Gradwohl, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in the fields of physics and mathematics. They earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. They then pursued a Master of Science degree with distinction in Physics from the same institution. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
