Arend Abel

Arend Abel is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in complex business litigation, appeals, and governmental litigation. Currently a Partner at Cohen & Malad since September 2003, Abel previously held the position of Partner at Leagre Chandler & Millard from September 1996 to September 2003. Abel was also a Member of the Indiana State Board of Law Examiners from 1996 to 2006 and served as Special Counsel at the Indiana Attorney General's Office from 1992 to 1996, where high-profile litigation and appeals were managed. Prior experience includes an Associate role at Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a Law Clerk position at the U.S. Court of Appeals. Abel earned a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures and Spanish from Ball State University.
