Sheetal Sood

Sheetal Sood has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in information management and technology. Sheetal is currently working as the Chief Information Officer at Cohen Veterans Network since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked at NYC Health + Hospitals from 2014 to 2020, where they held positions such as Corporate Records Management Officer, Senior Executive Compliance Officer, and Senior Executive Compliance Officer for Information Governance. Sheetal also worked at New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) from 2010 to 2014, serving as the Chief Privacy Officer and Director of Information Systems Audits. Before that, Sheetal worked at Messagemind Inc. as the Chief Information Security Officer from 2008 to 2010, and at Bear Stearns and Co as the Director of IT Security Operations in 2007. Sheetal started their career at the New York City Department of Transportation as a Technology Systems Manager from 2001 to 2007.

Sheetal Sood is currently pursuing a degree in Digital Transformation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sheetal started their education at Shivaji University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Sheetal has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Digital Transformation: From AI and IoT to Cloud, Blockchain and Cybersecurity from MIT, Certified in HealthCare Compliance (CHC) from Compliance Certification Board (CCB), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA, Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², GIAC Certified Security Essentials GIAC GSEC from the SANS Institute, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) from Microsoft.
