Matt Maloney

Matt Maloney is a cybersecurity professional with a robust background in security engineering and product security. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff in Security at Cohere since April 2024, Maloney has previously held significant roles at Flexport, including Staff Product Security Engineer and Senior Product Security Engineer from August 2021 to April 2024. Prior to Flexport, Maloney worked at Grubhub as a Staff Security Engineer, and at the MIT Sloan School of Management as a Research Scientist specializing in cybersecurity from May 2018 to May 2020. Initial experience includes leadership roles at Pearson VUE, where Maloney served as Engineering Lead and Senior Software Developer, as well as a Software Developer at ProctorCam, Inc. and Energy Procurement Solutions at Atlantic Power Partners. Maloney holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Policy & Governance from Boston College's Woods College of Advancing Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wesleyan University.
