Brandon Whiteman has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Brandon started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of South Florida in 2004, where they instructed a C++ programming course and assisted students. Concurrently, they worked as a Live Sound Engineer at the University of South Florida Special Events Center, supervising a crew and assisting with event production.

After their time at the university, Whiteman joined Accenture in 2005 as a VB/Java Developer for one year. Following that, they worked at CACI International Inc as a Java Developer II, designing and maintaining applications for the U.S. Army Reserve.

In 2007, Whiteman transitioned to Blue Canopy as a Software Engineer, where they designed and developed a BPM solution for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Brandon also participated in user acceptance testing, training, and mentored junior developers.

From 2009 to 2016, Whiteman worked at Sotera Defense Solutions, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer. During this time, they gained significant experience in the cybersecurity field, working with a diverse team of experts and data scientists to create an anomaly detection platform using Spark, Spark Streaming, and Elasticsearch.

In 2016, Whiteman joined Cohere Technology Group as the Director of Agile Programs, overseeing the development of an anomaly detection platform and designing a lambda architecture for running machine learning algorithms on cyber data.

Lastly, Whiteman served as the Chief Technologist at TWD & Associates, Inc from 2019 to 2020, where they provided technological expertise and guidance.

Brandon Whiteman has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Systems from George Mason University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida - College of Business Administration, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.
