Joseph Lauerman is an experienced event and digital technician currently working at SFJAZZ, specializing in advanced audio consoles and various sound systems. With a strong background in audio production, Joseph serves as an A1 FOH engineer at Sweetwater Music Hall and Bimbo's 365 Club. Joseph has freelance experience as a musician in the Ann Arbor area and has contributed to the San Jose Jazz Festival. Joseph held positions at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance, including Dean's Liaison and Concert Production Team roles, overseeing student productions and music events. As President of MUSIC Matters, Joseph spearheaded initiatives to connect students with musical careers and promote local talent. Joseph completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz/Jazz Studies and a Business minor at the University of Michigan.
