Chris Theis

Chris Theis has extensive work experience in the field of quality and reliability. Chris currently holds the position of Chief Quality Officer at Coherent Inc. since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Quality Officer at II-VI Incorporated starting from 2019. From 2008 to 2017, Chris held various roles at Finisar Corporation, including VP Global Quality and Reliability and Quality and Reliability Director. Before that, they worked at Optium Corp. as a Quality and Reliability Manager. Chris also has experience as a Reliability Manager at Optium Corporation and as a Senior Engineer at Cabot Corporation. Chris began their career as a Reliability Engineer at Agere Systems and Lucent Technologies in 2001, and they held that role until 2004. Overall, Chris Theis has a strong background in quality and reliability management and has worked in various leadership positions throughout their career.

Chris Theis earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania from 1989 to 1993. Chris later completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Electronic Materials at Penn State University from 1993 to 1998.
