Barry Dempsey

Barry Dempsey is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Strategic Investments & Asset Manager and previously as the Treasury Manager at Coillte since September 2012. With a robust background in treasury management, Barry has developed FX hedging strategies, managed market risks, and secured over €1bn in funding. Barry's expertise extends to managing cash flow, debt levels, and establishing treasury policies, as well as leading significant projects that contribute to Coillte’s strategic initiatives and sustainability efforts. Prior to Coillte, Barry held treasury positions at Greencore, Citigroup, and Bank of Ireland Global Markets, and has bolstered their knowledge with degrees from University College Dublin, Chartered Accountants Ireland, Griffith College Dublin, and ACI Financial Markets Association.
