Bill Stanley

Bill Stanley has a strong background in the forestry industry, with extensive experience at Coillte, a leading forestry and land solutions company. Bill started their career at Coillte as the Director of Biomass Energy from February 2010 to February 2013. During this time, they played a key role in the development and implementation of Coillte's biomass energy strategy.

Following this role, Bill became the Chief Operations Officer of Coillte Enterprise in February 2013 and held this position until July 2016. As COO, they were responsible for all commercial operations and played a crucial role in the disposal of Coillte's telecoms portfolio, raising €70 million as part of the company's deleveraging plan. Bill also led the development and implementation of Coillte's Land Solutions strategy, focusing on generating 90% of the company's revenue from recurring income streams.

In June 2016, Bill was promoted to the position of Director of Strategy and Business Development, a role they held until October 2019. In this position, they were instrumental in shaping Coillte's strategic direction and identifying new business opportunities for the company.

Most recently, Bill Stanley served as the Director of Strategic Investments and Asset Management at Coillte, starting in October 2019. This role showcases their expertise in managing strategic investments and assets to drive growth and profitability for the company.

Prior to their time at Coillte, Bill Stanley also gained valuable experience at Griffner Coillte, where they served as the Operations Director from 2003 to 2005 and later as the Chief Executive from 2005 to 2007.

Bill Stanley obtained their Bachelor of Agricultural Science degree with a concentration in Forestry from University College Dublin between 1986 and 1991. Subsequently, they pursued their MBA at University College Dublin from 1998 to 2000.
