Gerbino Franco has over two decades of experience in the real estate development and construction industry. Gerbino began their career as an Assistant Project Manager at Sicim in 1999 before moving on to Europa Risorse in 2002, where they worked as a Project Manager. In 2007, Franco joined COIMA as a Project & Construction Manager, overseeing various high-profile developments in Milan. Gerbino then progressed to the role of Head of Project & Construction Management and later became the Development Management Director. Currently, Franco serves as the Chief Operating Officer at COIMA, responsible for leading market prime development and value-added projects while also focusing on sustainability, business growth generation, and continuous improvement operating models.
Gerbino Franco completed their education at Politecnico di Milano from 1991 to 1997. During this time, they obtained a Laurea Magistrale LM degree in Ingegneria civile. The specific field of study for their degree was civil engineering.

Through the consolidation of the three neighbourhoods Garibaldi, Varesine and Isola, Porta Nuova returns to Milan an abandoned area of over 290,000 square meters, with 24 LEED certified buildings for a sustainable quality level without comparison in Italy. 30 architects of 8 different nationalities took part in the project, which among the various international awards received the European Property Award 2015-2016 and the MIPIM Award 2018.
