Chris Overton

Chris Overton is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and product development within the cloud and security sectors. As the Chief Technology Officer at Coin Metrics since May 2023, Chris leads technological advancements and strategic development. Prior to this role, Chris served as VP of Engineering at Mattermost and held VP Engineering positions at Elastic, overseeing the Cloud division responsible for hosted Elasticsearch services. Chris also directed cloud engineering at AVG Technologies, driving innovation in threat data analytics and machine learning, and previously managed product development at CyberPatrol, CA, and PestPatrol Inc. Chris holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from East Tennessee State University.
