Jim Cai is an accomplished engineering manager with a strong background in software development and product management. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Coinbase since October 2020, Jim has led initiatives for both on-chain/off-chain crypto payment processing and advanced trading capabilities. Previously, Jim held the role of Engineering Manager at a Series A Startup, where responsibilities included product ownership and technical leadership. As a co-founder and CTO at Slyce.io, Jim developed a brand ambassador platform while also having contributed as a Research Engineer at Stanford University and a Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn, where Jim was involved in building various recommendation systems. Jim holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
