Katie Lefelar

Katie Lefelar, Esq., SHRM-SCP, serves as Associate General Counsel for Global Employment Law at Coinbase since July 2021, previously holding the position of Senior Counsel in Global Employment. Prior experience includes roles as a Global People Risk and Compliance Consultant at Red Hat and Corporate Counsel for Employment Law and HR Compliance at TriNet. At Reynolds American Inc., Katie held various positions including Director of Talent Acquisition and Director of Total Rewards, focusing on governance frameworks and employee benefit plans. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, specializing in employment and employee benefits litigation, and as a Law Fellow at the Alabama Disabilities Advocacy Program, supporting individuals with disabilities. Katie holds a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
