Kilian Mie

Kilian Mie is an experienced professional in data science and quantitative investment research, currently serving as the Head of Data Science for Institutions at Coinbase since February 2021. Prior to this, Kilian Mie held various positions at Goldman Sachs from May 2004 to February 2021, culminating in the role of Executive Director within the Asset Management division, specializing in quantitative research and portfolio execution. Responsibilities included alpha research and market impact analysis. Earlier in the career, Kilian Mie worked as a Vice President and Associate, focusing on algorithm development and execution analysis. Internship experiences at Allianz Dresdner Asset Management and Goldman Sachs provided foundational skills in econometric modeling and trading strategy development. Kilian Mie holds a Master’s degree in Econometrics from Maastricht University, completed in 2004.
