Teun Lucas

Teun Lucas, CFA has extensive work experience in various roles within the financial industry. Teun is currently the Director of Business Development at CoinDesk, where they are responsible for the development of their indices. Prior to that, Teun worked at Refinitiv as the Wealth and Digital Sales representative for the US West region. In this role, they focused on selling digital wealth solutions to wealth management firms. Teun also served as the Head of Sales and Client Management at Optimal Asset Management, where they played a key role in sales and client management. Additionally, they worked as a Sales Strategy and Business Development Consultant and as a Vice President of Asset Owners & Consultants Index Sales at MSCI Inc., where they were responsible for sales, relationship management, and strategy. Teun also has experience at Northern Trust as a Senior Account Manager for Institutional Trust, where they managed relationships with pension funds. Prior to that, they worked at JPMorgan and Barclays Capital as a Sales Representative and Analyst, respectively. Teun's career began at Eneco as an Analyst.

Teun Lucas, CFA obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2003. Teun went on to earn a Master's degree in Finance & Investments, cum laude, from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in 2006. Teun also obtained a license to perform FSA controlled customer functions from FSA in 2009. In 2017, they completed the Series 65, Investment Adviser Representative qualification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Teun has additional certifications including being a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder from the CFA Institute in 2019 and completing courses in Growth Marketing and Portfolio Construction and Analysis with Python.
