Philip Van Goethem

Philip Van Goethem has a diverse range of work experience, starting in the year 2000 with a role as a Business Transformation Analyst at KBC Bank & Verzekering. Philip was responsible for supporting post-M&A integration projects and project managed the introduction of the EURO as a national currency.

Philip then went on to work as a Global Implementation Manager at NCR Corporation from 2007 to 2009, where they successfully implemented NCR solutions into top banking and cash processing institutions globally. Philip managed a portfolio of key accounts and provided advisory services to C-suite executives.

From 2009 to 2011, Philip worked as a Chief Commercial Officer at Cnext, where they designed and implemented a growth strategy during an economic downturn. Philip successfully doubled revenues and team size and increased predictable recurring revenues. Philip also created one of the first Cloud & AI competence centers in the region.

Philip then took on the role of Entrepreneur In Residence at Rise, created by Barclays - the Home of FinTech from 2017 to 2020. Philip assisted fintech startups in finding product-market fit, building initial traction, and securing pre-seed and seed funding. Philip also canvassed for investors, successfully securing follow-on capital for various projects.

In 2012, Philip became the Chief Executive Officer of SejGo, overseeing the management and deployment of a $26 million capital investment. Philip turned around 32 venture acquisitions through operational and financial restructuring, generating over $2 billion in annual revenues within 8 years.

Philip joined Twintag in 2022 as the Managing Director, where they revolutionized the digitization of physical items and products through innovative QR codes. Philip helped improve traceability, transparency, and authenticity for manufacturers and retailers.

Currently, Philip is the Chief Executive Officer at Star Ventures, a role they started in 2022.

In 2020, they also served as the Managing Director at CoinPayments, one of the leading cryptocurrency payment processors worldwide.

Philip Van Goethem attended HOGENT and studied Digital Visualisation from an unknown start date until 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate program in Macro Economics & Finance at KBC from 2000 to 2002. Following this, they pursued another Graduate program at KBC from 2003 to 2005, this time in Computer Science.
