Andrew Fenton is the News Editor for Asia Pacific at Cointelegraph. Andrew has over 10 years of experience working as a journalist and editor in the news industry.

Fenton began their career as a journalist at The Advertiser in 2007, where they wrote features and cover stories on a range of topics, from current affairs to art and culture. Andrew was a finalist in the best feature category of the 2010 SA Press Club Awards for 'Veil of Fears'. Andrew also became responsible for film news and interviews for The Advertiser, with their work appearing regularly in the Herald-Sun, Daily Telegraph and Courier Mail. As part of their work, they traveled extensively overseas, interviewing (among others) Russell Crowe in England, Leonardo DiCaprio in New York and Jackie Chan and Gerard Butler in Los Angeles.

In 2011, Fenton left The Advertiser to join News Corp Australia as Deputy Editor and Entertainment Producer for the national entertainment sections of their metropolitan daily newspapers (Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph and Courier Mail). Andrew oversaw the introduction of the tablet editions for Hit and Switched On and produced content for news.com.au. Andrew also covered entertainment news for the group – from the Oscars and the Golden Globes through to the local TV industry – and wrote interviews and feature articles.

Fenton left News Corp Australia in 2017 to take up their current role as News Editor for Asia Pacific at Cointelegraph.

Andrew Fenton has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Letters in arts, english, drama, evolutionary psychology, and cinema studies from the University of Melbourne.
