Charles C. has over 15 years of experience in compliance and legal roles. Charles began their career in 2004 as Compliance Director at Principal Financial Group, where they automated employee trade pre-clearance and initiated an enterprise-wide risk map. In the same year, they became Director, Counsel & Compliance Officer at WestLB. In 2007, they were appointed Chief Compliance Officer at First Republic Bank, where they directed compliance, training, licensing and registrations of more than 100 representatives. Charles then served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Advanced Settlements (an NFP Company). From 2014 to 2016, they were Senior Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at White Oak Global Advisors, LLC, where they managed cybersecurity and anti-money laundering. In 2018, they joined Ambisafe as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, playing an instrumental role in helping the firm execute a reorganization, develop corporate governance, orchestrate its first capital raise and bring in investors. Charles also served as Chief Compliance Officer at SDAC BVI Ltd. and Director of Compliance & Legal Counsel at TrustToken. Currently, Charles is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at CoinZoom.

Charles C. has a varied educational background, beginning with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Pace University - Lubin School of Business, where they studied Management from 1987 to 1989. Charles then obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of San Francisco, with a minor in Finance, from 1991 to 1993. Finally, they completed a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1996. Additionally, Charles C. has obtained several certifications, including Virtual Currency and Blockchain from ACAMS in 2019, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) from ACAMS in 2014, FINRA from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in 1999, and Admitted to the bars of NY, NJ & UT from the New York State Bar.
