Dana Livingston has worked in the legal field since 1991. Dana began their career as an Associate in the Appellate and Business Litigation Sections at Vinson & Elkins LLP. Dana then moved on to serve as a Law Clerk for Fifth Circuit Judge Jacques L. Wiener, Jr. at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. After that, they worked as a Staff Attorney at the Supreme Court of Texas. Livingston then opened their own Appellate Boutique & Solo Practice in 1998. Dana then joined Alexander Dubose Jefferson & Townsend LLP in 2003, working as an Appellate Specialist & Equity Partner at Appellate Boutique. In 2000, they began teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law. In 2019, they joined Cokinos Young as Co-Head of Appellate Section and Principal.

Dana Livingston obtained their J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 1990, graduating with a degree in Law. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Arts - BA from The University of Texas at Austin in 1987, with a double major in Economics and Philosophy. In 1995, Livingston was Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Dana was also granted a License to Practice Law in Texas by the State Bar of Texas in 1990.
