Gustavo Gomez

Gustavo Gomez is an accomplished professional in the energy sector, with extensive experience in managing generation assets across multiple countries in Latin America. Currently serving as Gerente Generación at Colbun S.A. since January 2021, Gustavo oversees both renewables and thermal generation assets totaling 3,982 MW in Chile and Peru. Previously held various leadership positions at ENEL Emgesa S.A. ESP, including Head of O&M Gas and Coal in Colombia, where responsibilities included maintaining thermal generation assets and optimizing maintenance programs. Gustavo has also acted as General Manager at Sociedad Portuaria Central Cartagena and Technical Manager at Codensa SA ESP, contributing significantly to projects involving high voltage transmission lines and major plant refurbishments. With degrees in Electrical Engineering and System Planning from Universidad de Los Andes, Gustavo combines technical expertise with strategic leadership in the energy landscape.
