Alex Fortin

Alex Fortin has worked in the technology field for nearly a decade. In 2012, they began working as a Telecom Technician for Bell. In 2014, they took on a contract role as an IT Technician for Beenox, where they were responsible for computer repairs and upgrades. In 2015, they worked as a Software Developer for Revenu Qu\u00e9bec, developing a statistics software for batch files using the .Net framework. In 2016, they held two internships, one as a Python Developer for Big Data at TraceFood and another as a Cloud Architect at Universit\u00e9 Laval, where they developed an Openstack environment from scratch. In 2017, they worked as a Software Developer for Cold Bore Technology and as a Software Architect and Software Engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems. Finally, in 2020, they returned to Cold Bore Technology as VP of Technology, Director of Technology, and Software Development Manager.

Alex Fortin obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Science from Université Laval between 2013 and 2016. Alex has also obtained a range of certifications, including Cisco Certified Technician, DevOps Essentials, Intermediate R, Intermediate R for Finance, Introduction to R, Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCSA v2.16), and OpenStack Essentials.
