Chief Financial Officer at Cold Bore Technology

Blair Layton has worked in the finance and oil and gas industries for over 30 years. Blair began their career in 1990 as a Manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers. In 1993, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Whipstock Systems Inc., a privately held directional drilling company. In 1999, they joined Chell Merchant Capital Group as the Director, Acting Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. Blair then founded Radius Directional Services in 2001, where they served as Owner, Founder, and Chief Financial Officer. In 2004, they founded Focus Directional Services, where they served as Owner, Founder, and Chief Financial Officer. In 2009, they joined Enseco Energy Services as the Senior VP Finance/Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, in 2013, they joined Cold Bore Technology as the Chief Financial Executive and Chief Executive Officer.

Blair Layton began their education in 1982 at Brigham Young University - Idaho, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.). Blair then moved to the University of Alberta, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Marketing in 1985-1987. After that, they attended the University of Calgary and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Business/Management from 1988-1990. Finally, they obtained their Chartered Accountant designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 1990-1993. Blair also holds a CA certification from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
