Simón Flórez-Montoya

Simón Flórez-Montoya has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Simón is currently the High School Principal at Gimnasio Fontana since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant in Education at Independiente from 2018, where they focused on private school education markets, school management, and fostering positive school environments. Before that, they were the Director of Bachillerato at Newport School under REDCOL HOLDING from January 2022 to September 2022. Simón also held various roles at Colegio Cumbres Medellín, starting as the Head of Humanities Department from July 2020 to January 2022, and then as a Professor of Economics & Political Science from August 2014 to August 2021. Simón was also a Professor of International Relations & Conflict Management at Universidad EAFIT from January 2015 to December 2021. Simón started their career as an Advisor in Social Sciences Research at Universidad de los Niños from March 2010 to July 2014. Simón also had a brief teaching role at CEC-EAFIT in 2014 and worked as an Assistant for Foreign Investment at the Embassy of Colombia in the United Kingdom from January 2013 to July 2013.

Simón Flórez-Montoya completed their Master's degree in International Business with a focus on International Relations at Universidad EAFIT. Simón also obtained a degree in International Negotiation with an emphasis on Geopolitics and International Relations from the same university. Additionally, they received coaching training for adolescents from the International Center for Integral Formation. Simón also completed a program in Pedagogical Processes at SENA. Simón completed their high school education at Colegio Montessori.
