Matthew Mallard

Matthew Mallard is an experienced engineering professional with a strong focus on DevOps tooling, cloud engineering, and technical consultancy. Currently serving as Engineering Lead - DevOps Tooling at Coles Group since October 2021, Matthew has a proven track record of involvement in significant projects such as the Data Centre migration and detailed design documentation for various technologies. Previous experience includes senior roles at Officeworks and Australia Post, where responsibilities encompassed automation, orchestration management, and strategic alignment within technical teams. Matthew also co-founded Q-Technologies, a consultancy specializing in IT automation and cloud migrations, and has held leadership positions managing infrastructure and UNIX environments at Coles and Coles Myer Limited. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from Monash University, alongside foundational education from Carey Baptist Grammar School.
