Russell J. Humberstad

Russell J. Humberstad currently serves as the Chief Security Officer and Senior Director of Global Security at Colgate-Palmolive since July 2019. Previously, Russell held several key roles within the U.S. Department of State from 1997 to 2019, culminating in the position of Chief of Criminal Investigations, where leadership was provided to a team of 125 personnel overseeing strategic investigations. Russell also served as Division Chief for the Antiterrorism Assistance Program, supervising over 160 personnel and managing a budget of $150 million. Additional positions included Regional Security Manager and Deputy Chief of Dignitary Protection, each involving critical security management and operational guidance. Russell earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from UC San Diego and has further education from Northwestern University.
