Collaborative for Educational Services
Kathryn Hobbs is an experienced data manager specializing in special education in institutional settings, currently serving at the Collaborative for Educational Services since October 2014. Prior to this role, Kathryn was a graduate student at Harvard University from September 2009 to September 2014, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology was obtained. Kathryn also gained research experience as a research assistant at Smith College from August 2006 to August 2009 and worked as a bilingual teacher for grades 3-5 in the NYC Department of Education from September 2004 to June 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education--Bilingual from Pace University-New York (2004-2006) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Smith College (2000-2004).
Collaborative for Educational Services
Since 1974, the Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) has provided access to comprehensive, quality educational programs for our most vulnerable, at-risk children and youth, and trained teachers and administrators to provide programs of excellence. CES is an education services agency that works to address gaps in programs and services with high quality, research-based, and collaborative solutions to ensure that every child has the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential. We believe that the emotional and social development needs of children and youth must be addressed if they are to succeed in school, and consequently, in life. The Collaborative works with 36 member school districts in Western Massachusetts, as well as schools, districts, educators and early childhood professionals beyond our member communities. We direct major initiatives in early childhood, special education, after school programs, professional development, educator licensure, educational technology, and the education of at-risk youth.
