Abhinav Kapoor

Abhinav Kapoor is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in video technology and generative AI. Currently serving as the Engineering Leader for Video and Gen AI at Meta since January 2022, Abhinav directs the development of Generative AI video platforms and infrastructure for key social media and AR/VR platforms while organizing the Video@Scale conference. Previously, Abhinav held the position of VP of Engineering at Owl Labs, leading SaaS software strategy, and served as Director of Engineering at Amazon Web Services, where Abhinav was responsible for core video software services for Amazon Interactive Video Service. Earlier roles include Director of Engineering for Twitch, where Abhinav scaled video services, and significant contributions at Adobe Systems as a Senior Engineering Manager, focusing on Flash Video and Adobe Primetime. Abhinav holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science specializing in Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality from the University of Illinois Chicago.
