Staff Solutions Systems Architect at Collaborative Robotics

Renen Bassik's work experience includes a diverse range of roles in the robotics and medical technology industries. Renen is currently employed as a Staff Solutions Systems Architect at Collaborative Robotics, a position they started in March 2023. Prior to this, Renen worked at Amazon Robotics as a Sr. Systems Architect from July 2019 to March 2023.

From November 2016 to June 2019, Renen held the role of Systems Architect - New Product Development at Instrumentation Laboratory, where they contributed to the development of innovative laboratory automation solutions.

Before that, Renen was a Principal Systems Architect at Medtronic, where they led the architectural design of a teleoperated surgical robotic platform called Hugo-RAS. Renen played a key role in resolving design conflicts and overseeing various aspects of the project from September 2014 to November 2016.

Renen also gained experience at other companies such as Stryker, MAKO Surgical Corp., ifm, Mazor Surgical Technologies, and Stryker (again) through various roles related to engineering, project management, and manufacturing.

Throughout their career, Renen has demonstrated expertise in systems architecture, product development, project management, and engineering.

Renen Bassik attended the Academy for the Advancement of Science and Technology from 1998 to 2002, where they completed their high school education. In 2002, Renen enrolled at Drexel University and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Theatre Production. Additionally, they participated in a student exchange program at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2006, focusing on Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing System Design.
