Mary Pat Murphy

Chief Clinical Officer at Collage Rehabilitation Partners

Mary Pat’s standard is that we provide exceptional rehabilitation, but beyond that, our staff be seen as leaders in the country in niche areas of brain injury – behavior, community integration and co-occurring disorders. Her commitment is to ensure that what we do is “evidence based”. When there is limited evidence in the field of brain injury to guide care, She encourages the team to look at other medical areas for guidance. Through her professional affiliations with the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) and American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM), she provides a clinical perspective that ensures we continue to be a leader in the field.

As a nursing student at Penn State University, Mary Pat realized that she was destined for rehab after taking her final course which focused on rehabilitation and stroke care. In 1991, after spending time in acute care and rehabilitation, which solidified her passion for working with the catastrophically injured, she was looking at different professional opportunities and applied to be a Case Manager at ReMed. She was offered the opportunity to develop and clinically manage ReMed’s new outpatient program. Promoted to Vice President of Clinical Services in 2001 she is now the Chief Clinical Officer of our newly merged organizations. She enjoys the professional challenges each day brings. As the challenges become more difficult, she looks for a different, positive perspective and keeps her sense of humor.
