Blanca Orue Montaner

Blanca Orue Montaner is a Fisheries Scientist at CLS Group (Collecte Localisation Satellites) since September 2019, with a solid academic and research background in marine sciences. Prior to this role, Blanca served as a Doctoral Student at AZTI Tecnalia from March 2015 to March 2019, conducting a PhD thesis focused on the behavior and ecology of tuna and non-tuna species associated with drifting fish aggregating devices in the Indian Ocean. Additional experience includes research roles at Instituto Español de Oceanografía, where Blanca utilized Bayesian spatial-temporal models and conducted fisheries-independent data analysis. Blanca’s academic credentials include a PhD in Marine Environment and Resources from Universidad del País Vasco, a Master in Oceanography from Universidad de Cádiz, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences from the same institution.
