Collective Carpentry
We are Collective Carpentry, offering a unique and innovative approach to constructing comfortable, sustainable, high performance buildings. We specialize in Passive House and Net Zero design principles, low embodied carbon materials, and off-site prefabrication methods. We use 3D modeling software to build all of our projects in the digital world before we begin construction. We are able to see, understand, and communicate the entire picture to all stakeholders, optimize our material use and reduce waste, and create accurate estimates for construction time and cost. Our building system is easily modified according to our clients' specific energy efficiency goals, building budgets, and the building's climate location. Our building envelope packages have minimal thermal bridging, an air tight interior vapour barrier, and a vapour permeable but air tight exterior weather resistant barrier. Our factory environment keeps our materials, equipment and tools in the best possible condition. It facilitates an efficient flow of materials and speed of construction. Combine this with the potential for constructing the building envelope while the foundation is being prepared, and the construction timeline decreases significantly. We currently serve the Western US and Western Canada, delivering single family, multifamily, commercial and institutional projects of the highest quality.
