Mariel K. Han (Kim) has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2013, they worked as a Human Resources Summer Intern at Stanford University Department of Athletics, where they organized employment applications and completed hiring paperwork. In 2014, they became an Assistant Event Coordinator + Brand Manager at Dinner Bandits, responsible for preparing food and managing the company's website and Instagram. Later that year, they also worked as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at the Biology Department of Barnard College, assisting students with lab procedures and grading quizzes.
In 2016, Mariel joined Stanford University as a Human Resources Associate at the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (VPTL), where they provided HR support and facilitated administrative processes. Mariel K. coordinated recruitment, supported new hire onboarding, and managed HRIS data. Within the Stanford University system, they also served as a Human Resources Summer Associate in the Department of Athletics, handling employment applications and paperwork for summer sports camp coaches.
Mariel expanded their skills as a User Experience Apprentice at General Assembly in 2019. During this time, they worked on various UX design projects, including redesigning an e-commerce site and creating a reporting and safest route-finding iOS app. Mariel K. conducted user research, designed interfaces, and prototyped wireframes using tools like Sketch and InVision.
From 2019 to 2021, Mariel worked as a Freelance UX/UI Product Designer, collaborating with clients to design and improve user experiences. In 2020, they joined Evoke Giant as a User Experience Designer, focusing on enhancing user experiences.
Most recently, Mariel has been working at Collective Health since 2021. Starting as a Product Designer, they were promoted to Senior Product Designer in June 2022.
Throughout their career, Mariel has demonstrated their creativity, attention to detail, and passion for designing user-centered solutions.
Mariel K. Han (Kim) pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Barnard College, which they completed between the years 2012 and 2016. Following this, Mariel attended General Assembly to participate in the User Experience Design Immersive program, where they gained expertise in this field of study.
