Nico Bremond, Collective Impact’s Teen Program Lead, is a 25-year-old African/Mexican American man who hails from in Oakland. He graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2014 with a degree in Sociology; during his time at USF, Nico was an Esther Madríz Diversity Scholar and an intern with Collective Impact’s Magic Zone program. Nico joined the staff in 2014, and was a founding lead within the Community Safety Initiative; he also manages the teen afterschool program and facilitates 10 student success groups for middle and high school students, including 6 groups tailored specifically for young men of color in need of targeted supports. Nico also led the organization’s partnership with Hack the Hood, managing a cohort of 25 young website developers, and over the last 3 years has co-presented or co-facilitated several workshops in the Bay Area and beyond. Nico is passionate about empowering each of his students to their best success, whatever success looks like for them.
