Gabrielle Massey is a prosecutor in the major crimes division of the Texas Attorney General’s office in Austin where she specializes in sexually violent crimes against children and women across the state of Texas. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Gabby was a felony prosecutor with the McLennan County District Attorney’s office in Waco, Texas for over seven and a half years. She was the first chief prosecutor of the Special Victims Unit, which prosecuted all human trafficking cases, as well as child sexual abuse, serious bodily injury to child victims, and felony family violence criminal cases in McLennan County. She also supervised civil attorneys who represent the State of Texas in child protective services and protective orders. Gabby has prosecuted over 100 felony criminal trials, with the majority being sexually violent predators including the first human trafficking jury trial in McLennan County.

Prior to joining the DA’s Office in Waco, Gabby was a criminal defense attorney in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for five years. Since becoming a prosecutor, Gabby has enjoyed training Texas prosecutors, law enforcement, victims assistance, probation officers and non-governmental support agencies on the topics of child abuse, human trafficking, and family violence state wide, as well as trained internationally on prosecuting human trafficking at a weeklong training in Mongolia.
